Elova Health | Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ

Questions,
answered honestly.

Everything patients ask us most — about the assessment, your laboratory testing, pricing, the Wellness Access Plan, and peptide therapy. If yours isn't here, our care team will answer it directly.

The Assessment

How does the Advanced Root Cause Health Assessment work?+

After purchasing your assessment, you'll complete a health questionnaire and laboratory testing. Once your results are available, you'll meet virtually with your Nurse Practitioner for a comprehensive review of your health history, symptoms, and laboratory findings. You'll then receive personalized clinical recommendations and a digital wellness plan.

Why is your laboratory assessment different from my annual physical?+

Routine annual physicals typically focus on preventive screening and identifying common medical conditions. Our Advanced Metabolic & Hormone Insight Panel is designed to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of multiple aspects of your health that may contribute to weight management challenges, metabolic health, hormone balance, energy levels, and overall wellness. Your assessment also includes a detailed laboratory review and personalized clinical recommendations.

Can my doctor order these laboratory tests?+

Some of the laboratory tests included in our assessment may also be available through your primary care provider. However, certain specialized tests included in our Advanced Metabolic & Hormone Insight Panel are not commonly ordered during routine medical care and may not be covered by insurance unless specific medical criteria are met.

Our assessment is designed to provide a more comprehensive evaluation by combining advanced laboratory testing with a detailed review of your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals. It also includes a 60-minute Nurse Practitioner consultation, comprehensive laboratory interpretation, and personalized clinical wellness recommendations.

Laboratory Testing

Where do I complete my laboratory testing?+

Most patients complete their laboratory testing at a nearby Quest Diagnostics location. After purchasing your assessment, you'll receive your laboratory order along with simple, step-by-step instructions.

Can someone come to my home for laboratory testing?+

Absolutely. If you'd prefer the convenience of having your blood drawn at home or your office, we can arrange mobile phlebotomy in many areas for an additional fee. Availability and pricing vary by location.

Our Care Team will help you choose the laboratory testing option that works best for you.

How long does the process take?+

Most patients complete their laboratory testing within one week of purchasing their assessment. Laboratory results are typically available within approximately 5–10 business days after your blood draw, depending on the tests ordered. Once your results are received, you'll schedule your 60-minute Nurse Practitioner consultation.

Pricing & Purchasing

Do you accept insurance?+

No. Elova Health is a cash-pay practice and does not bill insurance. This allows us to spend more time with each patient, provide personalized one-on-one care, and offer a functional medicine approach that focuses on identifying potential underlying contributors to your health concerns rather than simply managing symptoms.

Our comprehensive assessments, extended consultations, and many advanced laboratory evaluations are often not covered by insurance or may not be routinely offered during traditional medical visits. By operating as a cash-pay practice, we're able to recommend care based on your individual health needs and clinical goals rather than insurance limitations.

Can I purchase services online?+

Yes. You can securely purchase your Advanced Root Cause Health Assessment directly through our website. If you have questions before getting started, you're welcome to schedule a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call with our team.

Wellness Access Plan

What is included in the Wellness Access Plan?+

The Wellness Access Plan provides daily wellness tools, meal plans, member pricing, access to advanced laboratory testing and peptide therapy consultations when clinically appropriate, and 15% off eligible professional-grade supplements. Annual plans also include 12 months of the Theia Nutrition Insights App, one complimentary 30-minute virtual wellness check-in, optional CGM coaching, supplement recommendations when clinically appropriate, and priority scheduling.

Is the Wellness Access Plan required?+

No. The Wellness Access Plan is not required to purchase the Advanced Root Cause Health Assessment or most Elova Health services. However, an active Wellness Access Plan is required for ongoing access to peptide therapy consultations and treatments (when clinically appropriate), as well as exclusive member pricing and other plan benefits. Your Advanced Root Cause Health Assessment includes a complimentary one-month Wellness Access Plan so you can experience these benefits before deciding whether to continue.

Peptide Therapy & Weight Management

How does peptide therapy work?+

Peptide therapy is available exclusively to active Wellness Access Plan members. If clinically appropriate, your healthcare provider will evaluate your medical history, symptoms, laboratory findings, and wellness goals to determine whether peptide therapy may be a suitable option. If recommended, your treatment plan will include ongoing clinical monitoring and follow-up to help ensure your care remains safe and personalized.

Do you prescribe GLP-1 weight loss medications?+

Our approach focuses on identifying potential underlying contributors to weight management challenges through comprehensive clinical evaluation and advanced laboratory testing. Treatment recommendations are personalized based on your health history, symptoms, laboratory findings, and clinical assessment.

If clinically appropriate, your healthcare provider may discuss treatment options that could support your wellness goals. In addition, active Wellness Access Plan members have access to peptide therapy services through our partnership with Asher Health. Eligibility is determined after completing a medical intake and evaluation, and any medications are prescribed only if deemed clinically appropriate by the Asher Health healthcare team.
